Maxg Headlines
  WebFTP2 no longer supported

The second version of WebFTP was first released 3 years ago, and there has been little updates to the script since then, althought there are still a few known bugs. However, while WebFTP hasn\'t changed much, PHP has undergone a lot of changes, and PHP4 is drawing to an end.

WebFTP is no longer reliable or even working on newer PHP versions. As such, it will no longer be supported. You can still download the last release (link on the left pannel), but it is not recommanded to use it.

Fortunately, there will be a new version of WebFTP planned for next year. Its official name will be kraFTPaper ; a dedicated website (kraftpaper.org) will provide full support for this script soon.

Until then, we suggest you try our temporary replacement : wFTPm (you can download it from the left pannel too).
It is less featured than WebFTP2, but is secure and fast (requires PHP5).

  Recovery from disk crash

You surely have notice our webservers were down the whole summer. I finally managed to recover most of the website. The FTP remains closed, but it shouldn't last long.
You're probably wondering when to expect new releases of our scripts. You're right of course, most of them are outrageously outdated, and we have quite a number of bug reports and feature requests for many.

Surprisingly enough, MaxgComp should be the first to be updated. ZIP and TAR support will be unified in a single, easy to use class ; there mught even be a new PHP5 special version.

More to come soon.

  Looking for beta testers

To all users,

The new release of MaxgMail/3 will enter in its testing stage Monday, the 18th Jully, as planned in the development roadmap. This period will last 3 weeks, during which posting of bug reports and feature requests will be allowed on the Maxg Bugtracker.

As a result, we are looking for testers running different systems, including Linux, BSD, Windows, and various PHP versions as well (PHP4 & PHP5).
Anyone interested in testing this release should first contact us to be a registered.
An automated build system will allow testers to update their version every day, fixing bugs and hopefully adding features.

You'll find a contact form by clicking the "Contact the Maxg Network" link on the top of the right column of this page.

Thank you for your help !

Welcome to our new homepage !

Dear Maxg users,

You certainly noticed how unreliable our server was in the last 6 weeks. There was many reasons for that - we changed our internet provider, and the whole website has been rewritten. However, some parts don't work correctly yet, but hopefully it will be completed soon.

Many new features have been integrated, like the bugtracker and the new webmail. The source code for those applications will soon be released, probably under the GPL. A new on-line project roadmap is currently being developped.

Those changes may result in links not working anymore. Many were intentionally left broken, since they dealt with older works that are no more up to date.

We hope you'll like this new layer. The Network bar on the top of all pages (theorically) should make navigation easier, as well as the yet-to-come Network Map. On the other side, the new search engine is completed and powerful. Please use it !
